Election fraud watch

Wisconsin's got a lawsuit brewing about our Election Board's compliance with voting regulations. I heard Ohio basically said that it's too late to change anything for this election, and that the voting problems there in the last two elections (!) will probably happen again for 2008. And now a judge in NJ has suppressed a review of that state's voting systems and I'm sure it's too late to do anything with that anyway before Nov 4th.

If you're in a state with touch-screen voting, or other system without paper-identification, PLEASE go now and get an absentee ballot and follow the rules and send it in before the deadline.

And, elected officials, get off your butts and get this stuff straightened out in the first couple of months next year. The legitimacy of our democracy (and your positions) is at stake. We already have great cause to doubt your sincerity and competency. Don't increase our dissatisfaction. We'd actually like to believe that we have a system that kind of works sometimes. It's getting harder and harder to believe that.
